I love this couple! Over the past couple years we have gotten so close and we would always check in to see how each other were doing. Jenn and Jody had a dream of a New Years Wedding in 2020, but sadly because of COVID and the fact she is a respiratory therapist and Jody is a teacher they felt the risks were just too high. After so many changes in plans they finalized a new date of March 20th, 2021 and it was perfect!! They planned a evening ceremony, and the weather was dreamy! This is probably the most colourful wedding I've ever shot with crazy cool neon lights, graffiti and flash work in a alley.
Surrounded by their family and friends in a dark, romantic bar with the most perfect bistro lights, they pledged to be each other’s person for the rest of their life. Their ceremony took place at 6:30pm and had such a different feel than other ceremonies that take place in the afternoon hours in the daylight. I loved the warm, romantic tone. Their officiant Mark (Unborning Weddings) gave the most amazing narration of their love and kept everyone smiling and laughing through the entire ceremony! He challenged Jenn and Jody to remember how powerful and special this day was. It’s the beginning of their new life together as their own family. My favourite part was their intimate first dance. They weren't able to have a first dance in their venue so Jody played a song on his phone and put it in his chest pocket. It was the sweetest moment I've ever witnessed. They were in their own perfect moment and it was just so incredibly sweet!
Jenn and Jody, thank you so much for asking me to capture your big day! It was truly so special and you and your girls have so many exciting things to look forward to! Have fun looking through all these amazing memories! Congratulations!!
