I have so much to say about this incredible day! A few weeks before the wedding I went to meet Morgan to do some location scouting. With the wedding taking place on Grand Lake I wanted to be extra prepared with locations. Turns out on the day of the wedding all those locations except one were going to change lol. We started the day off with the groomsmen and oh my gosh! I have never had so much fun with a group of guys! They had so many fun ideas and were so welcoming and funny! Just a super great time, playing games on the beach, having some drinks and just hanging out with your best friends. After the guys we headed up to the girls! They were already so ready! My team was welcomed with hugs and so much excitement. Morgan had all her beautiful details laid out, she had toasts with her ladies, the sweetest father daughter first look and then we were ready for the first look with Rob. (I had no idea they were going to prank him lol). The "1st" first look was with his grooms man in the most hilarious wedding gown lol. Then Rob got to see his beautiful Bride! We got 15 mins of perfect portrait time for them...Here's where the thunder started to roll...the rain wasn't too crazy so we grabbed our umbrellas and went back out for wedding party photos!....than it rained a little more... than a little more...than the wind picked up...(Here's where my photographer gut was saying we need cover NOW lol). There was a little cottage with a porch so I asked Rob if he knew the owner (The owner was so helpful and even cleared off his porch for us so we could finish our portraits). We all ran under the porch just in time! The rain was coming in sideways. It was intense! We all regrouped after wedding party photos (photographers, videographers, planners, caterers - we were all completely soaked at this points lol BUT we all kept pushing and hustling for this amazing couple) and laid out a new plan! As soon as the rain gave us a little break we were running to the beach to marry them! Around 6:30 with just a little sprinkle of rain these two said IDO!
Morgan and Rob! Your day was so full of love, excitement and amazing people!! You two planned the most beautiful wedding! All of your guests and amazing team of vendors were there for you 10000% and would have all probably jumped in the water if you needed us to lol. Thank you so much for asking me to capture your day! I will never forget how 100+ people sang happy birthday to me (and made me cry just a little lol). Congratulations you two and good luck on your new adventures in Halifax!
